Jose Aldo aiming to be MMA’s Triple Champion
Jose Aldo has successfully defended his title against the legendary Urijah Faber at WEC 48, but according to the UFC President Dana White, Featherweight Division is far from being the limit for the Brazilian. White revealed that Jose Aldo considers the possibility of challenging three different weight classes to become the first ever MMA Triple Champion:
“I had heard that he wants to move down a weight class, win that belt and then go to 155 to fight BJ in the UFC. If he can do that, I don’t know if he can cut that weight and make that light a weight division, but he’d be the first guy to win three titles in three different weight divisions.
Aldo’s striking game has long been established as one of the best of any fighter in any weight class. When he won the featherweight title from Mike Brown on Nov. 18, he erased doubts about his takedown defense as Brown, a powerful wrestler, couldn’t do anything.

UFC 109 Main Event Fight
Two UFC Hall of Famers, Randy “The Natural” Couture and Mark “The Hammer” Coleman, faces off last Saturday in the first ever battle between two champions of the last decade, as the Main Event of UFC 109.
The battle took place before a sellout crowd of 10,687 fans at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, pitted two guys who started as national champions in amateur wrestling and later became heavyweight champions in mixed martial arts.![couture_1573730c[1] couture_1573730c[1]](http://www.spiderwebx.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/couture_1573730c1-350x219.jpg)
Randy at 46, appeared to be fast, employing his usual strategy of using a Greco-Roman wrestling-style clinch against the cage, his best position, to tire out Coleman and throw punches.
Coleman at 45 was unable to take Couture down or really get any strong offense going, and Couture was happy to keep Coleman in a clinch for most of the round.
In the beginning of the first round in their fight, Couture uses uppercuts to outscored Coleman and master the routine of his opponent. And on the second round, Couture threw more punches on the ground, forcing Coleman to turn his back, as Couture got Coleman again in the clinch and was able to
fire punches again, before taking Coleman down – a position that Coleman said before the fight he needed to avoid.
Couture defeated Coleman via submission (choke) in the 2nd round of their fight, making Randy “The Natural” Couture a Champion again for UFC 109, and now, he has 18 wins and 10 losses while “The Hammer” has 16 wins and 10 defeats.
