COMMUNICATE WITH YOURSELF!
Research has shown the most efficient office based workers use several tools- such as the telephone, email, voicemail, inter-office memos, faxes, and “sticky” notes- to organize and complete their work in a way that maximizes productivity.
The highest performing workers use these tools to their best advantage , and one common method is known as “self-messaging”.
This could involve the workers se
nding emails to themselves, for example, to remind them of important tasks. They may write notes to themselves during the commute home, or keep track of scheduled appointments in their daily diary or mobile phone calendar.
Sometimes they may even leave themselves voicemail messages on their work line if something springs to mind while they’re out of the office.
So to improve your productivity at work, take the time to improve communication with yourself.
